Last Updated: November 1, 2025

Overview

BendEase ("we," "our," or "the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobility and stretching app.

Our Privacy-First Approach

BendEase is designed with privacy as a core principle. We:

  • Do NOT collect personal identifying information such as your name, email address, or contact details
  • Do NOT track your location
  • Do NOT share your data with advertisers or data brokers
  • Store all workout and wellness data locally on your device
  • Use privacy-focused analytics that anonymize all user data

Information We Collect

1. Information Stored Locally on Your Device

The following information is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to our servers:

Workout and Wellness Data

  • Routine completions: Records of stretching routines you've completed, including dates and durations
  • Goals: Your personal fitness goals (e.g., weekly workout targets)
  • Personalization preferences: Your experience level (beginner, intermediate, advanced), focus areas for stretching (e.g., neck, shoulders, back, hips), injury areas you want to avoid, and routine length preferences (short, medium, long)
  • Voice coach settings: Your selected voice coach and whether voice guidance is enabled
  • Custom routines: Stretching routines you create using the routine builder
  • Feedback: Your ratings and feedback on completed routines
  • Saved routines: Routines you mark as favorites

App Preferences

  • Notification settings and reminder times
  • Whether you've completed onboarding
  • Premium subscription status (synced with Apple's servers, not ours)
  • App theme and display preferences

Important: This data never leaves your device unless you delete and reinstall the app, in which case it will be lost. We do not back up this data to our servers or iCloud.

2. Anonymous Analytics Data

We use TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service, to understand how our app is used and to improve the user experience. TelemetryDeck automatically anonymizes all data before it reaches our servers.

What We Track (Anonymously)

  • App usage patterns: Which features you use (e.g., routine completions, builder usage, dashboard views)
  • Navigation flows: How you move through the app (e.g., tab switches, screen views)
  • Onboarding progress: Which onboarding steps you complete or skip
  • Feature adoption: Whether you use features like voice coaching, custom routines, or weekly routines
  • Errors and crashes: Technical issues that occur during app use
  • Subscription events: When purchases are initiated, completed, or fail (no financial data is collected)
  • Routine interactions: When you start, pause, skip, or complete routines
  • General preferences: Experience level, voice coach selection, whether voice guidance is enabled

How It's Anonymized

  • User IDs are hashed: TelemetryDeck converts any identifiers into anonymous hashes that cannot be reversed
  • No personal information: We never send names, emails, addresses, or any identifying data
  • Aggregated insights: Analytics are used only to understand patterns across all users, not individual behavior
  • GDPR compliant: TelemetryDeck is fully compliant with GDPR and other privacy regulations

3. Purchase Information

When you make an in-app purchase (e.g., premium subscription), the transaction is processed by Apple's App Store. We do not handle or store your payment information.

What We Receive from Apple

  • Subscription status (active, expired, canceled)
  • Subscription type (weekly or annual plan)
  • Whether a purchase was successful or failed (no financial details)

What We Don't Receive

  • Credit card numbers or payment methods
  • Billing addresses
  • Transaction amounts (we know the product type, not the actual price charged)

All purchase data is managed by Apple in accordance with their Privacy Policy.
